A contemporary home and garden in the International style was created for a young family in close collaboration with architect Sue Minter, flawlessly integrating the home's architecture and surrounding landscape.
Utilizing recycled lumber and locally available building materials, the overall garden design minimized the construction's eco-footprint and created an open and inviting atmosphere. A repeat client of Griffith and Cletta, Inc., the owner had dreamed of owning a property with a pool, a vision finally realized in this collaboration.
Retractable walls open to merge interior and exterior spaces, while the tiled pool wall and raised pool patio create a stunning backdrop. The infinity-edge pool, elevated above the adjacent lawn, provides a dramatic barrier that also functions as an elegant stand-in for an unsightly security fence.
The elevated pool patio offers sunny lounging and a dramatic view of the home's architecture.
