Following an extensive interior remodel, a young couple sought to bring their eclectic, modernist aesthetic outdoors with a great landscape design. The front yard comprised a broken circular drive, crumbling fountain, and bare earth, with two spectacular California sycamores overhanging an otherwise inhospitable space.
Russ Cletta Landscape Design Studio first regraded the backyard and excavated the pool. Blue glass tiles introduce vivid color along the custom swimming pool’s wall, complementing the richly hued ipe wood deck, built-in seating, and pool coping. Colored concrete pavers tie the hardscape together to create a soothing outdoor living space.
The front garden echoes this casual elegance with a bold update to the traditional front porch, welcoming visitors to the newly renovated home with a pleasant lounging deck under the original sycamore trees.
