Traditional Garden Style
Hollywood Hills Estate

Originally built as a hunting lodge for studio executives in the 1930s, this three-acre estate boasts commanding views of the surrounding valleys.

Thirty years of overgrown brush and debris were initially cleared to reveal the site’s true beauty and potential. Following the clearing and extensive grading, a significant planting of mature trees, hedges, and shrubs was added in an informal arrangement, creating a serene and private escape from the city below. The surrounding hillsides appear to blend with the home’s landscape, creating a garden that feels endless in scope.

Existing pathways and mature trees were preserved in a new design that features an elliptical swimming pool, entertainment loggia, spa, croquet lawn, citrus orchard, and organic vegetable garden. Sweeping lawns unite the garden, creating spaces for relaxation and entertainment.
